A quiet moment of devotion
How to pray
the Rosary.
Take your time. Let each bead guide the next prayer.

Begin with the Cross
Make the Sign of the Cross and pray the Apostles’ Creed.
The opening prayers
On the first large bead, pray the Our Father. On the next three small beads, pray three Hail Marys for faith, hope, and charity.
Announce the mystery
Pray the Glory Be and announce the first mystery.
Pray each decade
On the large bead, pray the Our Father. On each of the next ten small beads, pray a Hail Mary. Conclude with the Glory Be. You may add the Fatima Prayer. Repeat for the remaining mysteries.
Close in prayer
After the five decades, pray the Hail, Holy Queen and end with the Sign of the Cross.
Which mysteries are prayed each day?
Joyful: Monday and Saturday. Sorrowful: Tuesday and Friday. Glorious: Wednesday and Sunday. Luminous: Thursday. Seasonal traditions may vary.
